Sponsored by Andersen Consulting, the Big 10 MBA Case Competition is an academic contest that challenges the analytical, creative and communication skills of MBA students.

The teams each had 24 hours to analyze a business case and to develop recommendations to present to a panel of judges. This year the case competition teams analyzed Apple Computers.

Other Big 10 universities participating were: University of Illinois, Indiana University, Michigan State University, University of Minnesota, The Ohio State University, Pennsylvania State University, Purdue University, and University of Wisconsin.

Iowa's team members consisted of sophomores Micah Hobart, Chandra Holloway, Deborah Rosmilso, and freshman Abhijit Sengupta. Sharon Dendurent, MBA adviser, accompanied the team. Hobart received an award for Best Question and Answers. In 1995 Iowa placed second in the Big 10 Case Competition.
