UI psychologist to lecture, lead discussion on children and accidents

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Jodie Plumert, an associate professor in the UI department of psychology, will lecture and lead an informal discussion on "Why Do Children Have So Many Accidents?"

Sponsored by the UI Obermann Center for Advanced Studies and Alice's Rainbow Childcare Centers, the event will be Wednesday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m. at The Sprout House, 421 Melrose Ave.

A recipient of an Obermann Center for Advanced Studies Spelman-Rockefeller Child Research Grant, Plumert will present some of the results of her research in a discussion with area parents. The presentation includes video clips of her work.
